280 Student-Athletes Recognized for Academics

ATHLETICS | An impressive 280 LMU student-athletes earned a grade point average of 3.0 or better this past fall semester, including 16 who earned a 4.0. With a department GPA average of a 3.19, Lions student-athletes made history in fall 2017. The athletes were recognized at halftime of last Thursday’s men’s basketball game against the University of San Francisco.

Also, faculty and staff are invited to attend Education Day on Thursday, Jan. 18. Thanks to an LMU donor, this special noon women’s basketball conference game against BYU will feature crowds larger than 3,300, as students from local elementary and middle schools will attend the day game. The kids will receive a campus tour prior to tipoff, and pack the stands for an unforgettable crowd experience.

Homecoming 2018 is quickly approaching. Tickets for the tailgate and game are now available for this key weekend game. New this year will be the addition of an ice skating rink being brought to campus. Make your plans and grab your tickets today!
