Coach Elliott Wins 250th Game

ATHLETICS | It was a big week for the LMU women’s basketball team as the Lions went unbeaten, including a win over Pepperdine in the PCH Cup, and gave Charity Elliott her 250th coaching win. This coming Saturday’s game against Portland will be the first time back home for Elliott’s Lions since her milestone win.

With January winding down, that means that the WCC Conference Tournament is just around the corner. Spend the first week of March with the men’s and women’s basketball teams in Las Vegas for the conference tournament. This marks the 10th season that the WCC’s premier event has been played in Las Vegas, and you won’t want to miss a moment of the action. Tickets go on sale to the public on Jan. 30.

Spring also means that many more teams are starting their seasons and competing for the crimson and navy. Women’s water polo is coming off an unbeaten weekend at the CBU Mini Tournament and looks to move up in the national polls from last week’s No. 21 ranking. Baseball held their alumni game and annual Casino Night on Saturday, with players from the 2017 team receiving their WCC Championship rings. Golf is playing in the Arizona Intercollegiate tournament to kick off their spring campaign. This follows alum Tyler Torano’s weekend playing professionally at the Farmers Insurance Open.
