Athletics Launches Redesigned LMULions.com

ATHLETICS | LMU Athletics has launched a redesign of their official website, LMULions.com, offering a sleek design that caters to an enhanced online experience. The fresh look, the accessible and clear navigation, and the responsive design adapt seamlessly to the user’s device, whether desktop, tablet, or mobile.

The revamped website features larger photos and a media wall featuring Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube posts in a larger and easier to view format on both the homepage and sport-specific pages. From the new media wall, fans can instantly follow @LMULions and all 22 sport programs across platforms. LMU Athletics teamed up with industry leader SIDEARM Sports for the redesign.

Student-athlete bios will also feature a new look, including links to related articles, action photos of student-athletes, and quick access to season and career statistics. Fan favorites such as the composite schedulephoto galleriesvideos from the LMU Sports Network and team statistics will all be easily accessible and presented in innovative new ways. Live streaming from LMU athletic events will continue to be available for free through a partnership with TheW.tv and the West Coast Conference.

Season ticket renewals and new season tickets for 2018-19 Loyola Marymount women’s basketball are also available now. The Lions are coming off of a successful 2017-18 campaign as the team went 19-11 on the season, marking the highest win total since 2006-07. LMU also began 2017-18 with a 7-0 record, which was the best start to a season for the program since 2003-04.

2018-19 marks head coach Charity Elliott’s seventh season at the helm of LMU women’s basketball. Under her guidance, in combination with the strong leadership of the team’s upperclassmen and the talented new additions, this season is set to be a stellar one for the Lions.

The third annual LMU Beerfest was another hit on Saturday. Students, parents, alumni, and fans came out for a day of fun, all while supporting student-athletes and LMU Athletics. With live music, several participating breweries, and a special dunk tank for many of LMU’s head coaches, the event was another success.
