GSLMU NEWS | Welcome back Lions! My name is Chelsea, and I am the president of Graduate Students of Loyola Marymount University (GSLMU). GSLMU works to advocate for and engage the graduate student body on campus. We host research summits, social get-togethers, personal and professional development opportunities, and happy hours. We also partner with departments on campus to promote community service, business networking, and educational growth.
There are so many opportunities to get involved outside of the classroom and make the most of your graduate student experience. I got involved with GSLMU last year to meet people outside my program. My advice: don’t just go straight from work to class and home – take advantage of the opportunity to learn something new, meet new people, and get involved!
