CAMPUS MINISTRY | LMU Campus Ministry concluded #LMU20 Week with the Senior Sendoff celebration – a live retreat offered through Zoom for the newest members of the LMU Alumni family. This experience was highlighted by a Zoom “surprise” guest appearance by Jesuit priest, renowned writer, and editor-at-large of the Jesuit magazine, America, Fr. James Martin, S.J. He offered a recorded reflection on Jesus’ love commandment in the Gospel of John and a congratulatory message to Members of LMU’s Class of 2020.
With support from the Campus Ministry team, seniors gathered to pray, reflect on LMU experiences deeply rooted in Ignatian Spirituality, and celebrate the many graces and blessings of their undergraduate journey. Other highlights included a virtual Ignatian Pilgrimage on the Bluff, a reflection from Interim Director of Campus Ministry, Fr. Marc Reeves, SJ (LMU Class of 1993), and a Sending Forth Blessing. “Go forth and set the world on fire,” Class of 2020!
