LMU Students Lead Demonstration

UNIVERSITY NEWS | Several hundred participants turned out for a demonstration against racism on Saturday, June 6, 2020, outside LMU’s front gates.

The demonstration, organized by LMU students to advance the work to root out racism in the world and on our campuses, was attended by LMU students, faculty, staff, Jesuits, and residents of the Westchester and Playa Vista communities.

The protest began at noon at the Lincoln Boulevard and LMU Drive intersection. Students and community members held up signs while facing the traffic, their chants mixed with cars honking in solidarity.

LMU leaders have also shared words of support to the movement for a more just society.
