Hispanic Association of Colleges & Universities 35th Annual Conference Oct. 24-27

UNIVERSITY NEWS | The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities is hosting its 35th Annual Conference as a virtual event and has an exciting program for its Student Track – ¡Adelante! Leadership Institute. The student track will be held Sunday, October 24 through Wednesday, October 27. HACU’s corporate partners have generously offered to underwrite the cost of registration for approximately 60 students interested in participating but cannot afford to do so. We need your help in identifying students to participate in this event.

HACU is looking for students with a minimum 3.30 GPA. All classifications and majors will be considered including majors in Accounting, Business Administration, Business Management, Economics, Entrepreneurship, Finance, International Business, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, Aerospace Engineering, Biochemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Cyber Security, Electrical Engineering, Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Public Health, Statistics, Systems Engineering, Communications, Criminal Justice, Education, Kinesiology, Political Science, Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, and Theatre Arts.

The ¡Adelante! Leadership Institute is a valuable experience for students. Throughout this four-day event, students will have the opportunity to attend 30 professional development workshops, 8 networking panels and various other opportunities to engage with HACU partners from the federal and corporate sectors.  Confirmed corporate partners include 2U, AWS, All of Us, Anthem, Beam Suntory, Cardinal Health, Church Mutual, Corteva AgriScience, Coyote, Deloitte, Endeavor, Dominion Energy, Federal Aviation Administration, FDIC, Fannie Mae Fidelity Investments, Future Housing Leaders, GM, Google, InterFaith Youth Core, JLL, Kellogg’s, Liberty Mutual, Molson Coors, PetSmart and Sherwin Williams, U.S. Army, U.S. Department of Agriculture, United Talent Agency, VM Ware and Workday.  This institute is designed to empower students with the career & leadership skills necessary as first professionals, first in their family to work in corporate America and for success beyond graduation. Many students who have participated in the past have walked away with confirmed internships or fulltime jobs!
