Submit the Names of First Responders for This LMU Community Tribute

CAMPUS MINISTRY | On behalf of Fr. Jim, Director of Campus Ministry and the entire Campus Ministry Team, I pray this finds you and your loved ones healthy in this difficult time.

I’m writing to you with First Responders in mind.  Many of you have parents and relatives who work as doctors, nurses, police officers, firefighters and paramedics.  Campus Ministry is creating a tribute to those members of the LMU Community who are putting their own lives on the front lines of this pandemic to care for and save others.  These names will also be added to the Mission and Ministry Prayer Requests.

Here is the invitation  If any of your family members are First Responders, were inviting you to participate by sending:

  • A picture of your First Responder.  It can be any picture of your choice – in uniform, scrubs, or casual.
  • The persons name and where they serve in their work.  If this person is an LMU alumnus/ae, please include their class year.
  • Your name, class year, and relation to this individual.
  • You may send as many First Responders names as there may be in your family.  There is no limit to the number of people you can ask to be included in this living tribute.

We are building a tribute to these members of the LMU Community who have answered the call to be men and women with and for others.  If you would like your loved one who is a First Responder to be included, please send this information directly to me via email at: John.Flaherty@lmu.edu by Friday, April 3.

Finally, please share this with every member of the LMU Community you feel might want to contribute to this living tribute and prayer.  Please forward this far and wide.

As we are realizing, we are even interconnected to one another than we may have appreciated even a few short weeks ago.  The Campus Ministry Team remains available to you for any pastoral support or need you may have in these days and weeks of being physically separated from the LMU Community.

Please stay healthy and be kind to yourselves and to those with whom you’re sequestered.

Peace and prayers,

John Flaherty
