Wildfire Relief Efforts

UNIVERSITY BULLETINS | Donations and fundraising are the most effective assistance the LMU community can provide at this time in regards to fire relief efforts in California. It is best that you make monetary contributions, no matter how small, so that agencies on the ground can use these funds to meet the needs of the victims of the fires in the most-effective way possible.

The following agencies are on the ground and are already providing aid to fire victims:

  • American Red Cross: Is accepting donations in support of the wildfires on the West Coast.
  • California Community Foundation’s Wildfire Relief Fund: The foundation is working to offered immediate aid to those affected by wildfires and assist in long term recovery efforts. Grants have gone to rebuilding homes, providing financial and mental health assistance and helping those affected to get medical treatment.
  • Baby2Babyhas sent over 600,000 emergency supplies including masks, portable cribs, diapers, wipes, soap, shampoo, blankets, towels, cleaning supplies and more to families who have been displaced by the devastating fires burning across California. Please use this link to help continue providing critical items to children impacted by this unprecedented wildfire season
  • World Central Kitchen, founded by chef José Andrés, is providing thousands of meals to first responders and evacuated families impacted by the fires.
