An Invitation to A Focus Group: On Your Aspirations For Global-Local Learning Experiences at LMU

ACADEMIC COMMUNITY OF EXCELLENCE AND THE OFFICE FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS AND SCHOLARS | As part of LMU’s participation in the American Council for Education’s Internationalization Laboratory, several working groups have been formed to explore internationalization at LMU. In these surreal times that the world faces, we ask for your time and ideas regarding internationalization. We ask you to sign-up for one hour focus group sessions to be held the week of September 21, please look for sign-up opportunities on social media coming soon. All participants must be 18 and over.

Some questions to consider:

  1. What does global imagination at LMU mean to you? What should the goals for internationalization be at LMU?
  2. What has your experience been with global learning at LMU?
  3. What are your goals with global learning? What obstacles have you faced?
  4. How can a global-local focus deepen and broaden our understanding of diversity? How can this be brought to bear on our focus now on historical issues in diversity, equity and inclusion?
  5. What does all this look like in a COVID-19 or Post COVID-19 world?

Please join us and share your valuable perspectives. For more information, please contact Csilla Samay in the Office for International Students and Scholars at csamay@lmu.edu.
